Any shape: think out of the box!

Hang your IXXI in a different way? Oh yes, that's what we like! Hanging your IXXI in a square or rectangular shape may look really great, but we show you how to do it differently. Hang your collage in tiers or maybe even hang your still life flowers split in two. You choose! Get inspired and start creating.

Hanging your IXXI in tiers works slightly differently than usual. What do I need to do? Watch the instruction video and follow the steps below:

Step 1:
Decide which shape you want to hang your IXXI and calculate how many X tools with three buttons you need. You can easily make this tool from an X tool by snipping or cutting 1 side off. You only need these tools on the corners where you keep hanging more tiers.

Step 2:
Click together the part you’re starting with and count the number of Monos you need. Secure the hanging tool level on the wall as shown in the demo video. Once the Monos are secured to the wall, remove the hanging tool and click the cards from the first part onto the Monos.

Step 3:
It’s now time for the second part of your IXXI. Click the cards from part 2 together and then secure them to the first part. In this step, you need X-tools with 3 buttons. Using Tesa Powerstrips, secure Monos to the back of the top cards for part 2. Next, secure the second part to the wall using the spirit level. If the cards are not convex or misaligned, you can secure the Monos.

Step 4:
Do you still have a third part that you want to secure? Then proceed in the same way as in step 3. Once all the cards are in place you can fill the bottom corners with the round part of the Monos. All of the holes in the cards are filled with tools and your IXXI is complete!

Are you going round the corner? Then close the corner edges using I-tools. That way it looks as if the IXXI is connected at the corner edges but they are actually two separate parts.

InfographicAround the corner
Do you want to hang up your IXXI in a corner? Then close the sides which border on the corner using I tools. In this way, you actually make two separate parts that you hang up separately. You fasten each part as illustrated in the demo video. Please note! You might not have enough I tools. If you need more, order an extra Tool Kit.

Multiple IXXIs together
Why hang one IXXI, when they look more beautiful together? This style of hanging works the same as hanging in tiers. The only difference is that you don’t work from top to bottom, but maybe alternate occasionally (see photo). The other steps are the same for this method, so you can follow them above.

Split image
The effect is huge, but hanging is simple. The first thing you do is put the IXXI cards in order. Then decide where you want to split the IXXI. It’s important to do this before you click the cards together. Because you need more I-tools to create more sides. You’re actually clicking two separate IXXIs together. That way you can hang the IXXI in two separate parts. Warning! You need an extra Tool Kit for this.

Room divider
Do you want to use your IXXI as a room divider to section off a room or maybe as a screen for your closet? Then hang your IXXI on a curtain rail. Normally, you hang the top cards of an IXXI on the Monos. Now, you replace the Monos with X tools. Click the bottom two buttons of the X tools in the top row of cards. Then slide the X-tools with the IXXI into the rails. Tip: do you want to know whether the curtain rails you have in mind are suitable? Then take an X tool to check that it fits.

Have you something to celebrate? With IXXI you can also make a garland! Get your IXXI and join your favourite square cards together and make them into a garland. You can make endless combinations and make the garland as long as you want. Hang up your favourite memories from young to old, choose a quote which fits the occasion or opt for cheerful patterns. In this way, you can give every party a personal touch.
