We love: Spring-proof your house in 5 steps

Spring has finally arrived! We can see it outdoors but how about indoors? How can you make your house radiate springtime as much as our gardens? We’ll give you a helping hand using 5 easy steps to ensure your house is ready for spring!

Spring-proof your house in 5 steps

Bring some sunshine into your home
Number one - throw your curtains open! Open the windows and let light fill your home. The natural sunlight will create a springtime feeling. Want to reinforce this effect? Make sure that there is lots of light around the windows. So consider a lick of paint or light-coloured accessories near the window. You can also create more light in the home using the right lights (obvious really).  Use a lighting plan to find out which lights are right for your house and where you can position them to create even more light.

Let’s get colourful
Create atmosphere with colour. And no, that doesn't always mean starting with the walls. Colour can be added to an interior subtly. You could give your living room a whole new look with just a few new accessories. Get to work with cushions, vases and throws in different colours and shapes with individual textures and prints. Mix & match and you’re as good as ready for the spring. You could be a little bolder with coloured chairs, a bright item of furniture or a colourful feature on the wall with an IXXI Pixel, for example, or a wall hanging in a cheerful print. You can make a huge difference with just one item!
